Gotham: Smile Like You Mean It Photos Released

Gotham doesn't return from its midseason break until Monday, January 16, but apparently, FOX wanted to give its fans a gift this holiday, so the network released official stills for the midseason premiere (click here to view) and the following episode airing Monday, Januray 23: "Smile Like You Mean It."

Currently, an official synopsis hasn't been released. We'll just have to try to figure out what's going on soley based on the images (view in the gallery below). We can see Lee uncovering Jerome's corpse, a uniformed police officer getting run over by a GCPD patrole car, Tabitha and Babs gazing into each other's eyes, an agitated Oswald clutching a knife in Sirens, a stunned Selina in Wayne Manor, as well as a handful of images of Bruce and Alfred (sporting a new haircut) looking constipated.

The regular cast features Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Morena Baccarin as Leslie Thompkins, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/the future Riddler, Jessica Lucas as Tabitha Galavan, Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox, Drew Powell as Butch Gilzean, Maggie Geha as the future Poison Ivy, Michael Chiklis as Detective Nathaniel Barnes, Benedict Samuel as Mad Hatter

Gotham is based upon DC characters and is produced by Warner Bros. Television. Bruno Heller (The Mentalist, Rome), Danny Cannon (the CSI franchise, Nikita), John Stephens (Gossip Girl) and Ken Woodruff (The Mentalist) serve as executive producers on the series.

The midseason permiere of Gotham's third season, which is titled "Ghosts," will air Monday, January 16 at 8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT on FOX.
