Happy Birthday! Arrow's David Ramsey Turns 45 Years Old Today

Happy birthday, David Ramsey! The actor is celebrating his 45th birthday today.

Ramsey, who is best known in our geek community as John Diggle on CW's Arrow, has a handful of acting credits under his belt in both TV and movies.

After producers spotted Ramsey on Blue Bloods, he was asked to audition for Arrow. Though the pilot script didn't feature Diggle very heavily, he said during the Arrow 100th episode party in Vancouver a few weeks ago that he was pulled aside and told that if the pilot went to series, Diggle would be a major part of the show.

Turns out they weren't lying.

In the years since Arrow started, John Diggle (and by extension Ramsey) has become a fan favorite character, with some viewers even hoping that he would turn out to be a famed DC superhero like Green Lantern -- an idea that Ramsey himself didn't exactly shy away from at first.

Besides Arrow and the other CW DC Universe shows, Ramsey's most recent appearances include Blue Bloods, Dexter, and a film this year titled Accidental Love. He also starred in Con Air, The Nutty Professor, and Pay It Forward.
