Someone New Knows Supergirl's Identity In Latest Ace Reporter Trailer

The CW superhero show has been on the sidelines since late-March, but all new-episode will begin rolling out next week, staring with the "Ace Reporter" episode.

To spread the word, the network has released an exciting new trailer featuring President Olivia Marsdin (Lynda Carter) as Durlan, a shape-shifting alien whose true form is quasi-reptillian; and a concerned Supergirl saying to someone off-screen: "How did you know I was Supergirl?"

The scene is cut in such a way that it appears as though Supergirl is speaking to Durlan, but that footage of the shape-shifting alien was shown in the last episode. So, she's probably talking to someone else. Best guess? Lena Luthor's ex-boyfriend, Jack Spheer.

Her identity was probably revealed to him (or whoever it is) when a car explosion burns Kara's clothes, leaving her in tatters, and exposing her superhero suit underneath. This is, of course, remarkably reminiscent of how Clark Kent was outed in a 2015 storyline in DC Comics.

Lena's (guest star Katie McGarth) ex-boyfriend, Jack Spheer (guest star Rahul Kohli), comes to National City to unveil his big breakthrough in nano-technology, which has the potential to eradicate all diseases. Lena asks Kara to attend Jack's conference with her for support. When Kara sees Snapper (guest Star Ian Gomez) in attendance she's inspired to tap back into her reporter skills and questions Jack on his discovery, which ultimately leads to a bigger investigation that puts everyone in danger.

Armen V. Kevorkian directed the episode written by Paula Yoo & Caitlin Parrish.
