Wonder Woman Trailer 3 Sneak Peek Reveals Diana's Super Powers

03/10/2017 04:34 pm EST

Wonder Woman has a new trailer coming tomorrow, and in the customary trailer preview, we get a taste of what Wonder Woman's super powers in the DC Extended Universe truly look like.

The trailer preview illustrates what we reported on in our Wonder Woman behind-the-scenes exclusives - specifically the new Wonder Woman origin story in the DCEU. That story involves princess Diana (Gal Gadot) being trained in secret by her aunt, General Antiope (Robin Wright). One day, while training, Diana displays power - power that no other Amazon before her has ever displayed. The voice over comes from Connie Nielsen's Queen Hippolyta who, upon learning that Diana has disobeyed her and begun training, demands that her sister Antiope make her the best warrior the Amazons her ever produced.

As you can see for yourself above, Antiope gets a big surprise when Diana becomes more powerful than anyone ever imagined. However, while many DC Comics fans may look at this and think that Diana's enchanted bracelets are the sole source of the power she displays - they would be wrong. As we learned in our time talking with the filmmakers, the DCEU Wonder Woman has more power than even longtime comic fans may suspect...

Are you excited for Wonder Woman to hit theaters? It's currently ranked low in our Anticipation Rankings, so be sure to vote and help it rise to the top!

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Joining Gadot in the international cast are Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui. Patty Jenkins directs the film from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, story by Zack Snyder and Allan Heinberg, based on characters from DC Entertainment. Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston.

Wonder Woman will be in theaters on June 2, 2017.
