Destiny 2 Gets Amazing New Images, Bungie Celebrates With Sale

We're just a few days away from the Destiny 2 open beta, which will no doubt have players grinding to earn some cool new goods in the sequel, as well as working alongside friends to defeat some rather large enemies. And Bungie wanted to celebrate in just the right way.

The developer posted a new blog post celebrating Happy Bungie Day, which was created by the community years ago. And it's made note of the day, posting a number of new wallpapers, which we included in the attached gallery. Take a gander and check out details on the post below.

"Our community started this tradition. We swear! It was years ago now, but someone got the idea that the seventh day of the seventh month would be a good time to celebrate their favorite memories from playing our games. We have no idea where they got the idea to lean so hard into the number seven, but we threw our arms around the new ritual nonetheless.

"Today is a party in your honor. You are the main characters in our world – the heroes who breathe life and bravery into our creations. Were you to ask people who work at Bungie, they would likely tell you that we don't make games. We build communities. The games are a fantastic means to the glorious end of people coming together to kill aliens and become friends."

To further cement the celebration, the company has launched a sale through its Bungle store, which is taking place through July 14th. It'll allow you to pick up a number of Destiny-related goods, including t-shirts, prints, coffee mugs and much, much more. It's a good opportunity to load up if you're a fan. Just make sure you use the code "SEVENISDARKER".

Destiny 2 releases on September 8th for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and October 24th for PC.
