We've been waiting for what seems like an eternity for Doomfist to join the party in Overwatch, bringing his brute force and unstoppable rage into the multiplayer fray. Good news – he's here!

Blizzard has released a new patch for Overwatch that has just gone live for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The patch, sized somewhere between 1.1GB and 1.3GB, adds the character to the playable list of heroes, so you can pick him and use his hard-hitting abilities to his advantage!

Here's the official description of the character, straight from Blizzard:

Doomfist's cybernetics make him a highly-mobile, powerful frontline fighter. In addition to dealing ranged damage with his Hand Cannon, Doomfist can slam the ground, knock enemies into the air and off balance, or charge into the fray with his Rocket Punch. When facing a tightly packed group, Doomfist leaps out of view, then crashes down to earth with a spectacular Meteor Strike.

And if you need a reminder of his abilities, here you go!

The character is available free of charge for those that purchased the game, whether you bought the Origins Edition that came out last year, or the just-released Game of the Year Edition which is now available at retail, packing a few extra goodies in the process. Either way, you're going to have your hands full with the long-awaited character now in the game.

Now, the real question is…what would happen if you pitted a Doomfist against another Doomfist? Let's find out!

Overwatch is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
