Injustice 2: This One Combo Almost Takes Out an Entire Life Bar

Twitter user TheMopMachine has perfected a combo that you're not likely to pull off online, but if you can manage it, the fight will be over before it even starts. We've seen a few variations of this combo online since players realized that Captain Cold can safely reset a combo by using his Glacier Grenade with opponents backed into a corner. Check it out:

By the time Cold is done juggling and firing, he's dealt almost 768 damage, which is pretty insane. MopMachine also shared a video from scene veteran Evan Hashimoto, showing a few ways that Captain Cold's Glacier Grenade could be exploited in a corner to safely reset combos. This isn't something you're going to get to do very often against experienced players, but if you're a journeyman player still rising through the ranks and you can practice this combo thoroughly, there's a good chance that you'll be able to pull it off. All it takes is one, and you're left with a substantial advantage.

It's also worth nothing that if your opponent has a little bit of meter, they'll be able to pull the right trigger while in the air to escape being juggled. This is a technique unique to Injustice 2, so players who played the original and didn't go through the tutorial in the second game might not even know they can get out of those air juggles, so hopefully you can take advantage of that.

Captain Cold is regarded as a fairly low-tier character in Injustice 2, so you probably won't have to worry about the vets trying to pull this on off on you. This goes to show, though, that with enough practice, experimentation, and imagination, tier lists are pretty meaningless, and you can show up strong with any character you like.

If you're looking to improve your Injustice 2 game, don't miss our step-by-step guide on how to mater any player in the game. There's no shortcut, but if you're willing to follow these steps, you'll "git gud" with whoever you want. Check it out here.
