League of Legends: Galio and Orianna Being Considered for More Changes

Galio

Galio's become a viable option when a team needs a tank even after several nerfs weakened the champ, but the potential changes for him would refocus him towards his anti-magic theme.

Riot Meddler spoke about refining Galio's role as a strong pick into an AP-heavy team and said that the changes might even make him stronger, assuming he's picked at the correct time.

"Goal with those would be to focus a bit more on some of what makes him distinct from other tanks (anti magic damage focus, AP building), making him less of a generalistic and potentially a bit stronger overall, at least when picked against appropriate enemy teams," Meddler stated about the champ.

The Rioter mentioned that it might take a while before these changes are seen in an upcoming patch if they even go through, but it is something that they're considering.

Orianna

Orianna's possible changes don't deal with her core identity like Galio's, but they're rather a revisiting of older changes that didn't ship the first time around.

The changes in question deal with the timing of her Command: Dissonance and Command: Shockwave, her "W" and ultimate, respectively.

"We're also working on some Ori changes again, a follow up to the stuff we were looking at a couple of patches back," Meddler wrote. "That's where W/R no longer fire slightly before the ball actually gets to the location they're firing at, but will now buffer properly instead, so if you press the key just before the ball arrives W or R will fire immediately on arrival."

Early attempts at the changes removed the early firing of the two abilities before the ball reached its destination, but that change impacted the champ's reliability pretty hard. The goal now is to still put forth some type of buffering changes without negatively impacting her timing too much.

These changes don't have a specific patch that they're projected to appear in, but they'll appear on the PBE first for an initial look and testing.
