PlayStation Releases Wrong List For September Free Games, Issues Correction

PlayStation released its line up of free games for PlayStation Plus members in September, and while that list was fantastic, it was also incorrect. As it turns out, Sony made a slight error this morning which has given rise to some confusion, especially since that error was amended quietly. On the official PlayStation Blog you'll find the following message:

"Update: An earlier version of this post featured an incorrect version of the September line up. We have updated the list below with the final line up for September."

That list, you'll be relieved to learn, still contains the most important original free game: inFamous: Second Son. Strike Vector Ex is also on the list, which means that all of our PS4 games are still intact!

It's the PS3 and the two cross-buy PlayStation Vita games which have changed, and we actually think that you'll be pleased with the changes there. Here's the revised list.

The Revised List

The new list, at least until Sony makes another correction, looks like this:

inFamous: Second Son, PS4
Strike Vector Ex, PS4
Truck Racer, PS3
Handball 2016, PS3
We Are Doomed, PS Vita (Cross buy with PS4)
Hatoful Boyfriend, PS Vita (Cross buy with PS4)

Truck Racer, Handball, We Are Doomed, and Hatoful Boyfriend are replacing the originally announced Monster Jam Battlegrounds, Hustle Kings, Hue, and Sky Force Anniversary. This will very likely be a very welcome change for most of you, especially since Hatoful Boyfriend is an incredible game. It's a dating sim game starring cartoon pigeons. No, we're not kidding, and yes, it actually is really good. If you go look up some Steam reviews, I think you'll come away intrigued and excited for what's ahead.

The Replacements

Truck Racer
