Sony Announces First Days Of Play Deals On PS4 Systems, Controllers, Top Games, And More

As you may have heard, Sony has officially announced a swanky gold special edition 1TB PlayStation 4 Slim, which they'll be selling at a discounted $250 for a limited time. But the deals don't end there! The gold PS4 is part of Sony's broader Days of Play sales event, which runs from June 9 to 17. During that time Sony will be offering daily deals on all things PlayStation, so you may want to clear up some space on your credit card.
Here's Sony's official pitch for Days of Play campaign:
"Days of Play, a first of its kind global promotion, brings you some amazing PlayStation deals just as summertime is getting into full swing. Starting June 9, major retailers across U.S. and Canada will offer discounts on hardware, peripherals, and PS4 exclusive games – all the way through June 17. This campaign is a thank you from us to the passionate PlayStation Community for your unwavering support – it's all of you that makes PlayStation the Best Place to Play, and led to the huge success of games like Horizon Zero Dawn."
As implied in the above blurb, Days of Play isn't merely a PlayStation Store digital sale, it applies to brick and mortar retailers as well. Sony has revealed a list of deals that will be offered by retailers throughout the nine-day event, including:
- Slim PlayStation 4 system in Gold with 1TB HDD – $249.99 USD ($50 off)
- DualShock 4 wireless controller (all colors) – $39.99 USD ($20 off)
- Gold Wireless Stereo Headset (Jet Black) – $79.99 USD ($30 off)
- Nioh, Horizon Zero Dawn, MLB The Show 17 – $39.99 USD ($20 off)
More deals will be announced daily once Days of Play kicks off on June 9, so keep your eyes peeled! Honestly, the thing that most entices me so far is the discount on PS4 controllers. Trying to buy multiple controllers can add up fast, so I might jump on this deal so I can finally get some four-player Overcooked going!
