Stardew Valley 1.6 Update Goes Live With Patch Notes

03/19/2024 02:43 pm EDT

At long last, update 1.6 for Stardew Valley is available to download. Despite launching over eight years ago in 2016, developer Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone has continued to support the hugely popular farming sim with new content and releases on additional platforms. Now, this continuous support has resulted in a massive new update that overhauls many aspects of Stardew Valley while introducing some that are seen for the first time.

Outside of simply improving various bugs and other issues in Stardew Valley, update 1.6 also adds some brand new content and features that players can experience. One of these new additions happens to be a mastery system, which gives access to "powerful perks and items." NPCs also now have new dialogue, new festivals have been added, and more pets can now be owned. All of these features are in addition to the litany of smaller quality-of-life improvements that have been made across all avenues of Stardew Valley
