Seems like it won't take long for the hellfire to hit the fan in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4.

The synopsis for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4's second episode has been revealed, and it's teasing a throwdown between Ghost Rider, Robbie Reyes, and Daisy "Quake" Johnson.

The synopsis for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 Episode 2, titled "Meet the New Boss," reads, "Daisy sets out to battle Ghost Rider, but at a terrible cost; the new director's bold agenda shocks everyone."

The "New Boss" referenced in the title is obviously a reference to the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D., played by Jason O'Mara. Based on the title and synopsis, it sounds like this may be audience's first chance to get to know the character.

The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 premiere episode is titled "The Ghost," and will be the show's introduction to Robbie Reyes, Ghost Rider. Ghost Rider is being played by Gabriel Luna. In the Marvel Comics Universe, Robbie Reyes is unique among the different characters to be called Ghost Rider. Where previous Ghost Riders acquired their powers by making a deal with the devil and having a demon bound to their soul, Robbie Reyes was made a Ghost Rider when he was possessed by the spirit of a satanist serial killer named Eli Morrow. Showrunner and executive producer Jed Whedon has implied that Ghost Rider's origin is being tweaked for Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., so fans will have to wait and see how much of Robbie's original origin makes it to television.

In Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4, Daisy Johnson has been given the moniker "Quake" (which was Daisy's codename from Marvel Comics' Secret Warriors series) by the media. Daisy has been making headlines as a rogue Inhuman trying to make amends for what she perceives as sins from her past, but the press and the public believe Quake to be a threat, and Coulson is trying to track her down. However, if Quake is trying to help those in need, it makes sense that she may cross paths with Ghost Rider. Robbie Reyes lives in a dangerous neighborhood in East Lost Angeles with his developmentally disabled brother, Gabe (played by Fear the Walking Dead actor Lorenzo James Henrie). If Ghost Rider appears in this area, Daisy may take it upon herself to protect the people living there from what she believes, mistaken or otherwise, to be an Inhuman threat.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
