Agents Of SHIELD: Internet Reacts To Ghost Rider

09/21/2016 12:06 am EDT

If by some miracle you hadn't yet heard, Ghost Rider made his TV debut on Marvel's Agents of SHIELD tonight, in the form of the more recent take on the antihero with a muscle car instead of a motorcycle.

Marvel went into full-court press mode to promote the Agents of SHIELD season four premiere on social media, and fans enjoyed the new, darker take on the super-spy series. It felt a little more like one of Marvel's acclaimed Netflix offerings, rather than the more light, Whedon-eque, cinematic universe-friendly take that has dominated Agents of SHIELD for the first three seasons.

Well, we rounded up some responses...

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD airs Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. New episodes launched tonight!
