Agents Of SHIELD: Ming-Na Wen Talks About Her Major On Set Injury

Being an agent of SHIELD is no easy job either for the characters or the actors who play them and Ming-Na Wen has the injury to prove it.

During a panel at Heroes & Villains Fan Fest in Nashville on Saturday, Wen, who plays Agent Melinda May, spoke about the painful injury she received during filming late in the fourth season of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD.

"Last season, season four, the episode before the last episode, I was doing a stunt fight scene, and just did the wrong thing, kicked the wrong way, and felt like somebody shot me in the knee," Wen recalled. "I blew out my ACL and my meniscus. I have a brand new ACL. Isn't she pretty? So pretty. Somewhere in there. And a couple of screws. "

Fans who follow Wen on social media may remember photos of the actress with a leg brace and crutches as a result of the injury, which also forced her to cancel some planned convention appearances. Its good to see the Cavalry back in top shape at Heroes & Villains Fan Fest.

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD is taking a long break between seasons this year to make room for Marvel's Inhumans in the fall. However, Marvel's Agents of SHIELD will return to ABC with a full-size, 22-episode fifth season in January.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns with a vengeance for the fourth exciting season in an all new time period, Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. ET. In the aftermath of their journey to another planet, Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the rest of the team were driven more than ever to put an end to the Hydra organization. Little did they know that they were up against the deadliest threat they've ever faced – an extremely powerful Inhuman, Hive, who was transported back from Maveth in the body of their worst enemy, Grant Ward. The team was able to thwart and kill Hive and take down Hydra, but they are all still mourning the death of fellow agent and Inhuman, Lincoln Campbell.
