Agents Of SHIELD Season 4 Episode 4: Let Me Stand Next to Your Fire Photos

So far, Agents of SHIELD has thrilled fans with its inclusion of Ghost Rider. The iconic Marvel character helped the series rake in big numbers when Season 4 premiered last month - but fans haven't seen the character face SHIELD yet. However, that all is about to change soon enough.

By now, fans have seen Ghost Rider quarrel with Daisy 'Quake' Johnson, of course. And the hero has even helped Fitz avoid a rather wicked ghost gunning after him to Mack's dismay, but that's been about all we've seen of the character. Until now, that is. New still images from this season's fourth episode have been released, and they seem to tease a showdown between Ghost Rider and Team Coulson.

You can check out the photos in our gallery below. Several of the gritty images show Mack accompanied by Agent Phil Coulson and Simmons, and the characters are clearly armed. Of course, those bullets will do plenty to piss Ghost Rider off, so fans will have to see if Team Coulson uses their weapons wisely.

Unsurprisingly, there are also a few shots of Gabriel Luna in his Ghost Rider uniform. The leather-clad character can be seen in front of a fiery background in one picture while another shows him behind the wheel of his hellish muscle car. There are other photos which find Agent Coulson speaking with an unknown inmate during a prison visit, so who knows? Maybe Ghost Rider will get cuffed when "Let Me Stand Next to Your Fire" debuts.

If you want to read a full synopsis of the episode, then you can check it out below:

"As Ghost Rider's quest for vengeance brings him into an explosive confrontation with S.H.I.E.L.D., Coulson and Mack must rely on an unlikely ally in their time of desperate need; and Daisy reunites with a familiar face to stop the Watchdogs."

Keeping the synopsis in mind, fans have started to speculate whether Coulson's jail excursion could be to meet up with a baddie he's previously nabbed. After all, if the guy is needing information about Ghost Rider, who better to ask than criminals who'd like the vengeful spirit gone?
