Marvel Television and ABC have confirmed that Ghost Rider will return in the season four finale of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, titled "World's End."

The Marvel's Agents of SHIELD's Twitter account tweeted a cryptic message on Monday morning that seemed to hint at the return of Ghost Rider, reading "Forecast is prediction flamin' hot weather." TV Line has now confirmed that the tweet did foreshadow Ghost Rider's return.

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD's Twitter account tweeted a cryptic message on Monday morning that seems to hint at the return of Ghost Rider.

The tweet reads, " Forecast is predicting flamin' hot weather." The text is followed by a fire emoji and a winking face emoji.

Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna) is Ghost Rider. As revealed earlier in this season of Agents of SHIELD, Reyes received the power of the Ghost Rider when another Ghost Rider bestowed it upon him, saving Reyes from dying after an otherwise fatal car crash. The dark side of the deal was that Reyes became possessed by a spirit of vengeance, filling him with fury and compelling him to mete out vicious and violent justice towards the wicked.

Reyes was last seen before Agents of SHIELD took its mid-season break. At the conclusion of the "Ghost Rider" arc, Reyes learned that he had been betrayed by his uncle, Eli Morrow, for control of the mystical tome called the Darkhold. Morrow used the Darkhold to build a Quantum Particle Generator. The conflict ended when Ghost Rider held Morrow fast to the device, sending them both through an inter-dimensional portal. Reyes and Morrow haven't been seen since.

The official synopsis for the season finale reads, "With the surprising emergence of Ghost Rider, Coulson and the team attempt to stop Aida from ending the world."

Additional guest stars in "World's End" include Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Elena "Yo-Yo" Rodriguez, Mallory Jansen as Aida, Adrian Pasdar as Brigadier General Glenn Talbot, Jordan Rivera as Hope Mackenzie, Patrick Cavanaugh as Burrows, Zach McGowan as The Superior, Joris Jarsky as Sergei, Zibby Allen as Lt. Evans, Joel Stoffer as silhouetted man and Karole Foreman as waitress.

"World's End" was written by Jeffrey Bell and directed by Billy Gierhart.

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC. The Marvel's Agents of SHIELD season four finale, "World's End," airs May 16.
