Exclusive Marvel Preview: All-New Wolverine #19

Marvel Comics has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive preview of All-New Wolverine #19, the first issue of the ResurrXion era.

All-New Wolverine #10 sees new series artist Leonard Kirk joining writer Tom Taylor on a brand new story arc titled "Immune." Laura Kinney and her clone-sister, Gabby, each put on brand new Wolverine costumes to face a strange new threat.

When an alien ship with a dying passenger carrying an extraterrestrial disease crash lands on Earth a city is quarantined. Wolverine is sent in to see if she can find a solution. Her healing factor should keep her safe from the threat posed by the disease, but can she protect herself from a mysterious villain who also prowls the streets of the city?

"Immune" picks up after the events of the epic "Enemy of the State II" storyline. A spiritual successor to the original "Enemy of the State," which starred the original Wolverine, "Enemy of the State II" saw the return of X-23's most fearsome foe, Kimura. Using the trigger scent that was programmed into Laura at a young age, Kimura attempt to revert her from the Wolverine back into a mindless weapon.

Kimura didn't account for Laura having acquired quite a few friends and allies over the years. Gabby, Gambit, Jean Grey, and SHIELD were all there to back Wolverine up. Jean Grey even managed to telepathically dive into Laura's mind and remove the trigger scent programming, freeing her from that constraint.

Now that Laura is free from her creators' controls, it is up to her to decide her fate. This fresh start and brand new storyline for ResurrXion makes All-New Wolverine #19 a perfect jumping on point for anyone who fell in love with Laura while watching her portrayal by Dafne Keen in Logan.

And as you can see from the preview pages, Wolverine is not taking any time off. She and Gabby can be seen in the midst of battle with an entire room full of armed men.
