Here's How The Guardians Of The Galaxy Will Talk With The Avengers in Infinity War

Many of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's characters are set to unite in next year's Avengers: Infinity War. But before they do, fans have begun to wonder - will some team members be able to understand the space-trotting Guardians of the Galaxy?

A fan recently posed the question to James Gunn, who has directed both installments of the Guardians franchise. And according to Gunn, the communication between the Guardians and the Avengers will be made fairly simple with the help of the translator implants that all of the Guardians have.

The translator implants have been referenced within the Guardians films, albeit briefly. When Peter Quill/Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) was taken in by the Nova Corps in the first Guardians, his rap sheet showed that he has the implant in his neck. It was revealed that the implant was given to him by Yondu (Michael Rooker), so that he would be able to understand the Ravagers.

While its essentially accepted that the entire Guardians team can understand and communicate with each other, despite them all being of different origins and species, having Gunn confirm the science of how it happens is certainly interesting.

These translators should hopefully help break the language barrier between the Guardians and the earth-bound members of the Avengers when they team up in Infinity War. But even then, fans can probably expect some sort of miscommunication - and the hilarity that will ensue because of it - between the film's massive cast of characters.
