Watch Benedict Cumberbatch Stop Tom Holland From Sharing Avengers Spoilers

In the world of Hollywood, there are few companies as secretive as Marvel Studios. The ever-growing MCU has prompted the studio to lock down its biggest secrets as its movies' stakes continue to rise. So, really, it's not surprising to see one of the franchise's vetted stars step in to keep Tom Holland from spilling any Infinity War beans.

Yesterday, the slew of MCU stars gathered in Anaheim to attend Marvel's annual panel at D23. The Spider-Man actor was present as the first footage of Avengers: Infinity War dropped at the event, but Benedict Cumberbatch made sure Holland's over-excitement didn't get the best of him during interviews.

Good Morning America had the chance to chat with Holland and Cumberbatch after Marvel's presentation, and the show tried to weasel a secret from the Spider-Man star. When asked if the teenager hero would join the Avengers post-Thanos, Holland hesitated for a moment.

"Um, that's a good question. Again-" Holland started before Cumberbatch cut him off.

"I'll answer it," the Doctor Strange star interrupted as Holland broke into a fit of laughter. "He is really, really fun to work with. It's nice to be on set with friends. It's just a gas. It's been a good time."

The complacent answer got the entire press room giggling, but Cumberbatch did his duty to keep Marvel's secrets under-wraps for now. Holland may laugh at the precaution, but the actor has admitted he is the worst at keeping the studio's secrets to himself. During an interview with ComicBook, Holland admitted Marvel won't even let him read the entire Avengers: Infinity War script since they are afraid he'll spill some of it prematurely.

"I don't know anything about the film, if I'm honest," Holland said. "I just know I'm in it."

Continuing, the actor explained, "The funny thing is about that movie is I showed up and I was like, 'Can I read the script?' And they were like, 'No, you're terrible at keeping secrets.'"
