Karen Gillan Shares Avengers: Infinity War Set Photo With Stan Lee

Production on Avengers: Infinity War is still ongoing at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, and star Karen Gillan just offered a look behind-the-scenes at her character, Nebula, hanging out with one of the fathers of the Marvel universe itself, Stan Lee.

Gillan shared a photo to her Instagram account of herself in her Nebula makeup arm-in-arm with Stan "The Man" Lee. In her post, Gillan calls Lee a "legend" and the "Marvel mastermind."

If Stan Lee is on the set of Avengers: Infinity War, it seems likely that he's there to film a cameo appearance, or possibly several of them. Lee is known for his cameos in Marvel movies, be them Marvel Studios films or otherwise, and has been filming multiple cameos at a time in order to avoid having to travel as much as he grows older. Lee has been lessening his convention appearances as well for the same reason.

Gillan is reprising the role of Nebula, "daughter" of Thanos, for a third time in Avengers: Infinity War. Gillan debuted as Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy and will play Nebula again in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Set to the backdrop of 'Awesome Mixtape #2,' Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill's true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes' aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens May 5, 2017.

Avengers: Infinity War brings the Guardians of the Galaxy to Earth to team up with the Avengers to face off against Thanos and his minions. It seems the Guardians now include Nebula among their crew.

Avengers: Infinity War opens May 4, 2018.
