Gods and guardians will come together in Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War and they'll be doing it in unexpected ways.

The footage from Avengers: Infinity War that was revealed at D23 showed Thor (Chris Hemsworth) crashing into the windshield of the Milano, the ship belonging to the Guardians of the Galaxy. Star Dave Bautista, who play plays the Guardian Drax, described this unorthodox introduction to Good Morning America.

"What are the chances? Isn't that great? When I first read that I laughed hysterically," Bautista said. "When we shot it, it was just so ridiculous.

"We had a lot of fun with that whole scene," Bautista continues. "It's kind of the first interaction between the Guardians and Thor, obviously. There's just so many jokes to be made there with how handsome and perfect Chris Hemsworth is and how insecure Star-Lord is. A lot of good fun and a lot of good humor."

In the scene from Avengers: Infinity War, Thor's hair is still shorn short, suggesting he gets picked up by the Guardians of the Galaxy not long after the events of Thor: Ragnarok.

Thor will have to contend with Hela, Loki, and Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok. Unfortunately for him, they may only be the undercard when compared to the threat of Thanos and his children, the Black Order, in Avengers: Infinity War. Thor: Ragnarok opens in theaters in November.
