New Avengers: Infinity War Filming Details Revealed

Marvel kicked off production of Avengers: Infinity War in a big way, with an announcement video that took us behind-the-scenes to where Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, Tom Holland's Spider-Man, and Chris Pratt's Star-Lord were, you know, casually hanging out together.

Filming on the massive, two-film undertaking that is Infinity War has been happening in Atlanta for weeks now - but a Marvel Studios Avengers film is an international affair, and so production is pulling up stakes and heading overseas... to Old Town, Edinburgh, Scotland.

The Edinburgh News reported on Infinity War coming to town, listing production plans and locations where the film will shoot. The High Street Cobbles is mentioned as the first location where production will set up (starting this Saturday); other plans include drone ariel shots of Old Town, and a shoot on Cockburn Street, the Royal Mile, and Parliament Square.

In a hilariously understated announcement, local residents are warned to brace for "small explosions" from April 2 - 6. In an equally hilarious statement from Old Town local John Stephenson, "You get a fair bit of noise at night from drunks and people singing but this noise will be fabulous because when I go to see the film I can say I was there."

Avengers: Infinity War is currently sitting pretty with a 4.34/5 rating in our User Anticipation Ratings - with over a year to go until its release! Let us know how excited you are for the biggest Marvel Cinematic Universe movie of all time, by rating your anticipation below!
