Benedict Wong Fanboys Out About Delivering Infinity Stone Line & Joining Avengers: Infinity War

Doctor Strange was just the tip of the iceberg for Benedict Wong, who played Master Wong in the film. The actor joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the magically-infused film, but only got to see other magic users in the film. Then a late shoot in the movie added on a very important line for Wong (the actor and character), letting him announce to the world just how Doctor Strange tied-in to the MCU and the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War.

The Eye of Agamotto is the Time Stone, an Infinity Stone, and a key piece of mythology, and Wong got to deliver the line. The actor is a huge fan of Marvel Comics, and it took him aback for a moment.

"There's a fanboy in you that, when you read these lines, is going, 'Oh my God. The Avengers. Yeah! The Infinity Stone!'" Wong told Comicbook.com. "I'm delivering all of this and I've just got to calm all of that [in my mind]. The fanboy is going 'AH!' and I'm saying, 'Please, just settle down in the corner,' and really trying to deliver it with some sense of calmness."

Now he has to go play in the MCU with the rest of the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and even his personal favorite comic book character of all-time, Spider-Man.

"It's just fantastic. It's gonna be one massive battle ahead. I think the Russo brothers [directors of Infinity War] did such an incredible job with Civil War. They fully understand how to interweave so many different characters and make a really good narrative story. We'll see what happens!" he said with clear enthusiasm in his voice.

As for that moment when he's first on set next to Thor, Captain America, and Spider-Man?

"Oh no, no, no, no, no!" he said with a laugh. "I've got to get back and do some serious meditating."
