Canada's National Library Just "Released" Wolverine's Military Records

The Canadian National Library and Archives is getting into the April Fools' Day spirit by declassifying the military record of James "Logan" Howlett, a.k.a. the Wolverine.

The Facebook post hits the highlights of Logan's origin, including his birth n 1882 in Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada to wealthy landowner Elizabeth Howlett and her groundskeeper Thomas Logan. It then goes on to chronicle his service through World War I, World War II, the Cold War, and his work with non-governmental organizations under the Wolverine codename.

The Library even included a weathered photo of Hugh Jackman as the character.

The information doesn't have too many specifics, but what's there all lines up pretty well with what we know of Wolverine's backstory, specifically his early life from Origin.

Hugh Jackman will have one last outing as Wolverine in the upcoming sequel to The Wolverine. Check out when this movie and other movies are coming out in ComicBook.com's Movie Release Schedule.
