Watch Chris Pratt Freestyle & Beatbox About Eating A Muffin

Chris Pratt rose to fame for playing Andy Dwyer, the likable, unemployed, and overweight slacker love interest of Ann Perkins, in NBC's Parks and Recreation. But once he set his sights on becoming the movie star that he is today -- landing roles in Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World -- Pratt dramatically lost well over 60 pounds, converting whatever fat was left over into muscles.

How'd he do it? He revamped his diet so that he was no longer consuming fried food, hash browns, burgers, beer, and his wife's unhealthy but delicious cooking. And rather than cutting down on his food intake, he actually at more that he ever did but chose much healthier meals.

On top of that, for about five months, he worked out four hours a day. To add variety to his workout routine, he took up swimming, biking, running/jogging, weights, CrossFit high-intensity interval training, and straight body-building — including pull ups, push ups, and P90X.

In the video above, you can watch Pratt gorge on a carrot cake muffin like it is the greatest thing he has ever put inside his mouth. But before doing so, he spits out some dope rap lyrics about his tasty and sensible treat — which contains 180 calories, 8 grams fat, 18 grams carbohydrates, and 8 grams protein.

"It is said that when you fast you have visions," Pratt wrote on his Instagram account. "It goes back to the Bible and probably before. It's a spiritual experience to say the least. I'm not fasting per se but I am definitely at the point in this diet where I've began metabolizing my own brain for energy. Not to brag. If your body gets so hungry you start eating your own brain matter for energy, keep going! You're almost there! It means the love handles are next! And then you will be complete. You will have arrived at the destination. And forever you will be happy. Just kidding. Don't do it. Not worth it. Go get some Doritos or skittles. Both of which have Star-Lord's face on them right now!!!"
