Fan Art Shows Comic-Accurate Costumes For Marvel's Inhumans

05/07/2017 12:50 am EDT

This past week served up to be a big one for Marvel Entertainment on both the movie and television sides. Marvel Studios got to celebrate the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 while Marvel Television released the first look of Marvel's Inhumans, the next television show to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Released by Entertainment Weekly earlier this week, the first look image showed the Inhuman Royal Family — as led by Black Bolt (Anson Mount) and Medusa (Serinda Swan) — in the costumes they'll be wearing in the show.

While the costumes of Maximus (Iwan Rheon), Crystal (Isabelle Cornish), Karnak (Ken Leung), and Gorgon (Eme Ikwuakor) look fairly accurate to their comic book counterparts, fans were left wondering if the show had picked the right digs for Black Bolt and Medusa, and king and queen of Inhumans.

The reported synopsis for Inhumans is listed below.

"After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself."

Marvel's Inhumans stars Anson Mount (Black Bolt), Serinda Swan (Medusa), Ken Leung (Karnak), Isabelle Cornish (Crystal), Eme Ikwuakor (Gorgon), Iwan Rheon (Maximus), Sonya Balmores (Auran), Mike Moh (Triton), and Ellen Woglom).

Marvel's Inhumans will premiere the first two episodes in IMAX on September 1. The full series will debut on ABC later this fall.
