David Tennant Delivers Trump Warning as The Purple Man

While appearing on the British talk show The Last Leg several days ago, the show's host Adam Hill mentioned to David Tennant that Killgrave (a.k.a. The Purple Man)—his villainous and manipulative role on Marvel's Jessica Jones—was included on Rolling Stone's "40 Greatest TV Villains of All Time" list. Hill followed up by asking the 45-year-old actor, "Which accent did you go with for that?"

"Oh, you know, snarling English," Tennant answered, which Hill noted is an apparently perfect accent for villains. "It just fits," Tennant agreed. "You can try other things, but you end up coming back to that."

Josh Widdicombe, a co-host, then asked Tennant to perform his spine-chilling voice on the Channel 4 program. An intrigued Tennant asked, "What do you want me to say?"

Widdicombe replied, "Say, 'Adam, [President Donald] Trump's coming to get you.'"

Tennant was happy to oblige. He got into character in a split-second, taking on a more threatening demeanor. With his eyes fixed on the show's host, Tennant perfectly delivered the Trump warning in a creepy and frightening way that only Killgrave can.
