Deadpool 2 Will Have A Lot Of Characters

We all know that Deadpool 2 will see Cable, and possibly Domino, join the ever-popular Merc, but now it seems like they won't be the only new additions.

Accoording to the Deadpool writers, the sequel will feature a bunch of characters, though it will still contain the spirit of a solo film.

In an interview with Deadline, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick talked about the difficulties of writing the Deadpool sequel. Just after stating that it was still, very much, a Deadpool-centered project, the writers mentioned that many more would be joining the character.

"Yeah, it'll be a solo movie. It'll be populated with a lot of characters, but it is still Deadpool's movie, this next one. We're pushing forward very hard. I think by every account we will shoot it this year, and we're on our multiple draft now. It's taken different twists and turns, but it's really coalescing, and we're very, very excited. We're a little nervous, because now we feel like we have to live up to the first movie, but at the same time, we have to have faith, and we have an extreme passion still, and as long as we have passion still, and it's not a mercenary, venal play, which we don't think this is, I think we'll be in good shape."

So, who could all of these characters be? We know that Cable is joining the film, and Domino has been all-but confirmed. If the first film is any indication, Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Colossus will probably be involved as well. They played pivotal roles in Deadpool, so the relationships with the main character are already established.

This comment could mean that other X-Men are entering the fold. Hugh Jackman has basically ruled out Wolverine's appearance, but there are plenty of X-Men from the films that need something to do.
