Defender's Photo Features Sneaky Iron Fist Easter Egg

Eagle-eyed fans of Marvel Television's various Netflix series noticed a nod in the new pormotional photos for upcoming series Defenders.

With Iron Fist hitting the streaming service on March 17th, Netflix and Marvel have begun promoting the forthcoming team-up series. Iron Fist will join forces with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage in the Defenders, bringing actors from each series together to a villainous threat portrayed by Sigourney Weaver.

Recent photos released by Entertainment Weekly have given glimpses into the production of the latest series without spilling the beans about what the plot could be. But they have included an interesting Easter Egg regarding Danny Rand's personal life beyond heroics.

Check out the photo below. Do you see it? (No, it's not the 616 reference.)

Just in case you missed it…

That's right! Rand Enterprises has diversified its business holdings and expanded into trucking and transportation! It's not exactly as glamorous or exotic as we might have thought, nor is it as exciting as weapons research and development. But that's a market cornered by Tony Stark and Stark Industries, so Rand's gotta get in where he can fit in and make a buck.

Is this photo a hint that we might see Iron Fist become a member of the working class, driving a big rig cross country? Or that there could be a rift between Jessica Jones and Danny Rand, being that she is vandalizing his company's truck? Could Rand Enterprises sue Jones and Alias Investigations for damaging company property? Would Matt Murdock defend Jones, or would he help prosecute her? Will this frivolous lawsuit put Iron Fist at odds with the rest of the Defenders?

Well, probably not, but it's fun to imagine, right? Maybe in an upcoming What If? comic, but we doubt that will ever happen. Let's just hope this image spawns the courtroom procedural-esque fan fiction it rightly deserves.

There's not much information known about either Iron Fist or the Defenders series, and the former has been shrouded in secrecy from production to the lead up of its release. But based on this photo we know one thing at least: Danny Rand owns a trucking company. Sorry for not including spoiler warnings, but call it a hunch that this piece of information won't ruin your viewing experience when the series finally releases on Netflix.

Now the question shifts to something more pressing: what is Rand Enterprises transporting? Fruit and veggies? Amazon packages? Bedroom furniture? The possibilities are endless…

Iron First premiers March 17th. Defenders premiers later in 2017.
