EXCLUSIVE: Deadpool: Back in Black #5 Marvel Preview

12/08/2016 04:53 pm EST

Deadpool's time in the black symbiote suit has been entertaining, to say the least, and he's crossed paths with some infamous Spider-Man villains along the way. In the fifth and final issue of Deadpool: Back in Black however, he's finally about to meet the man himself.

That would be old web-head Peter Parker during his time in the iconic black suit, and Deadpool has to get to him before Killer Thrill wipes him off the map. While Deadpool's intents are heroic in nature, the symbiote's are anything but, and the two seem to be at odds this time around.

ComicBook.com has an exclusive preview of the final issue of the humorous series, complete with Deadpool opening monologue, which you can find in the gallery below.

Deadpool: Back In Black is written by Cullen Bunn with art by Salvador Espin. Colors are provided by Ruth Redmond and Lettering is by VC's Joe Sabino, with Salva Espin and GURU-eFX on covers.

You can read the official description for the issue below.

Deadpool's adventures in the Venom symbiote conclude! Guest-starring…black costume Spider-Man?! That's right – we've got everyone's favorite symbiotic relationship…and the symbiote is there, too!

During 1984's Secret Wars, Deadpool was introduced to an alien symbiote who went on to become Spider-Man's black costume and, eventually, Venom. Okay, okay, maybe that really happened in Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars. Point is, did you know that after Spider-Man rejected the costume…it went slinking back to Deadpool on the rebound? And they went on adventures together? You didn't? Well, you will, now, thanks to this series by Cullen Bunn (The Deadpool Killogy) & Salva Espin (Deadpool & The Mercs For Money)!

Deadpool: Back In Black #5 lands in comic shops on December 14.
