EXCLUSIVE: Steve Rogers Captain America #6 Marvel Preview

Captain America has skillfully played Captain Marvel and Iron Man against each other during the events of Civil War II, but you can only do so much against death itself.

That's what is at stake in Steve Rogers: Captain America #6, as it picks up right where Civil War II left off. The Inhuman Ulysses has had yet another vision, and this time it puts Steve Rogers at death's door, impaled and dying at the hands of Spider-Man (Miles Morales).

As readers of the book already know, Captain America's previous meddling with former friends was to get Ulysses attention off of his covert activities, but it looks like that might have already caught up to him in an unexpected way. Not only did he send Banner the gamma research that brought the superhero community to his house, but he also knows that Ulysses can be wrong, or at least influenced, and he's used that knowledge to his benefit. Even he didn't expect to see himself dying at the hands of Spider-Man though.

You can view an exclusive preview of the upcoming issue in the gallery.

Steve Rogers: Captain America #6 is written by Nick Spencer with art from Javier Pina. Colors are being handled by Rachelle Rosenberg, Letters by VC's Joe Caramagna, and issue #6's cover was drawn by Paul Renaud.

Also shipping with Steve Rogers: Captain America #6 is a variant cover from Greg Hildebrandt and Gerald Parel, which can also be viewed in the gallery.

Steve Rogers: Captain America #6 lands in comic stores on October 26. If you need to catch up on what happened last issue, make sure to check out our review of Steve Rogers: Captain America #5 here.
