First Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Easter Egg Revealed

If there's one franchise that's jam-packed with Easter Eggs, it's Guardians Of The Galaxy. James Gunn has become notorious for hiding little clues throughout his film - both about the overall Marvel Universe, and the culture of America in the 70s and 80s.

Many expect Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 - which is currently #1 on our Anticipation Rankings with a score of 4.38/5 - to feature a ton of Marvel clues and throwback Easter Eggs.

The new trailer that dropped on Jimmy Kimmel last night was nothing short of awesome, and it gave fans a look at the first little Easter Egg from the film.

As the trailer began, the abilisk was hurling toward the Guardians, and Peter Quill was watching some sort of handheld device. He informed the team that the creature would be on them soon.

To some, that device may look familiar. If it does, it's because you've seen it before, but probably not for sometime.

The gadget Star-Lord is playing with isn't an intergalactic device at all, but a classic video game. In fact, it's a Mattel Classic Football Handheld Game.

The game originally came out in 1977, so it's totally something that Star-Lord would have played with as a kid. You can actually still buy the game on Amazon.

This may be the first pop culture Easter Egg in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, but it certainly won't be the last.

If you're excited for Guardians Vol. 2, be sure to give it an anticipation rating below! See if it can hold the number one spot until it hits theaters in May!
