Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Trailer Re-Introduces the Lineup, Teases Comic-Con Footage

The first Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 teaser trailer has arrived -- in Russian and English -- and it's making us want to dance.

Despite being just under 90 seconds in runtime, it gave fans a lot of material: great one-liners, Hooked on a Feeling playing in the background (Guardians just completely owns that song!), and even a couple of amazing action shots.

It feels like going home again, as the team reunites, adds a couple new members, and gets ready for their next adventure.

Drax gets the first ever-so-slight reveal, just showing his back. The next shot is of Gamora, looking either pissed off or pensive in a forest. Star-Lord's introduction has him standing at the end of some sort of tunnel, in his full gear and with twin guns.

Gamora's full introduction sees her signature sword from comics and animation extending out, as she quite literally leaps into action, while Rocket and Yondu walk along a rafter as Ravagers literally fall from the sky to either side. Nebula has a hood pulled back; she looks like she's been taken by someone.

Star-Lord rockets away, and the team assembles. Our only shot of Baby Groot comes at the very end, when Rocket blows a hole in... something, and Groot peaks over his shoulder. And the crowd goes "awwwwwww."

Revealing the team is fun enough, but fans who weren't at Comic-Con in San Diego this July got their first glance at some of the footage shown during Marvel Studios' panel at the convention. Our description (obviously, with slight spoilers) of that footage:

"Rocket and Yondu fall into a jail. "We deliver you to the Kree in the morning. Neither one of you will last much longer after that," The Ravager says. They have baby groot in a cage, and put him in a Ravager outfit. Yondu is trying to get Baby Groot to help them. There's a "prototype fin" that he wears on his head. YES. He comes back with underwear, a severed toe, a mechanical eye, a desk. Baby Groot stealing stuff covertly is amazing. He brings the fin. AWESOME. A Ravager is shaving, and music starts to play. He has the fin! It glows when he uses his whistle arrow power. The song is being piped over the speakers. They're terrified he has the fin. "Come a little bit closer" plays, and Yondu, baby Groot, and Rocket walk confidently to the Ravagers. Yondu kills about 20 of them with one whistle. Holy crap.. They keep walking through this huge Ravager base, the arrow flying and bodies falling all around them. Groot is riding Yondu's shoulder now. He runs after someone screaming a high-pitched scream, grabs him with vines and tosses him off a balcony. Huge pop."
