Honest Trailers Proves Doctor Strange And Iron Man Are Same Movie

In last year's Gilmore Girls revival on Netflix, Lauren Graham's character makes a biting criticism about the most popular superhero film franchises.

While talking about her daughter's forgettable boyfriend, Lorelai Gilmore says "He's like a superhero, but his power is you can't remember him no matter how much time you spend with him. Kind of like every Marvel movie ever."

Ouch. But not entirely true, especially when they rehash the same plot points over and over again.

Which is the exact point Screen Junkies make in their latest Honest Trailer, skewering ComicBook.com users' 7th Best Film Doctor Strange as it finally hits home releases.

The clip does a convincing side-by-side comparison of the Sorcerer Supreme's feature film debut with the original Marvel Studios classic Iron Man, making the case that the movie is a simple rehash all the way to the point of starring a former Sherlock Holmes.

It also hilariously points out the ridiculous amounts of medical and magical jargon the film employs, how the film saves money by repeating one scene over and over and over, and how Chiwetel Ejiofor's character Baron Mordo only exists for plot expositions.

But despite all of the criticisms and the fact that Marvel seems to stick to their formula, Doctor Strange is still a very entertaining film. Honest Trailers is just doing what it always does: highlighting a film's flaws to hilarious degree.
