Hulk Star Lou Ferrigno Inducted Into International Sports Hall Of Fame

For those who grew up in the 70s and 80s, Lou Ferrigno is the first name they think of when they think about The Incredible Hulk. While several other actors, including Eric Bana, Edward Norton, and Mark Ruffalo, have played the role in years since, Ferrigno remains one of the longest-standing names associated with the iconic Marvel character.

Recently, Ferrigno received an honor worthy of his legacy - in the International Sports Hall of Fame. The 65-year-old actor is best known amongst the nerd community for playing Dr. David Banner/The Hulk in the 1977-1982 series The Incredible Hulk, as well as in subsequent movies and animated series. But Ferrigno is also an avid fitness trainer, previously receiving two Mr. Universe titles during his professional career as a bodybuilder.

Over the weekend, Ferrigno was officially inducted into the ISHOF at a ceremony in Columbus, Ohio. You can check out the photo below:

Interestingly enough, the man who helped awarded Ferrigno of the honor was Arnold Schwarzenegger, who of course is known for his own action roles in franchises such as The Terminator and Predator. Schwarzenegger was one of the first inductees into the ISHOF, earning his honors in 2012.
