James Gunn Has Turned In His Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 Story Treatment

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn decided to test out Twitter's new social live-streaming video app, Periscope, by holding an impromptu fan question and action session.
There's no way to replay a Periscope stream after its complete, but ScreenRant recorded some of the highlights from the stream, including the fact that Gunn has turned in a story treatment for Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
"I turned in my treatment. I'm going in to meet about it Friday and we will start working on the screenplay next week," Gunn shared in the video, later adding that the script is already 70 pages along.
Gunn shared a few other tidbits as well, like that he may have figured a way for Karen Gillan to return as Nebula without having to shave her head, and that he jumped for joy when he heard about the Marvel-Sony Spider-Man deal, and that he'd never consider directing an X-Men movie.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is scheduled for theatrical release on May 5, 2017.
