During an interview with MTV this weekend at a press event for Avengers: Age of Ultron, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige expressed a hope that they will eventually get to use Miles Morales onscreen, and said they're casting a very wide net for Peter Parker, so that it's more important he be the right age than necessarily be white.
"Miles, I think, is awesome," Feige said. "I think there are opportunities for him for sure if this all works and continues."
Pressed on the kinds of actors they're looking at for Peter, he said, "The field is very wide right now in terms of who we're looking at within a certain age range."
