Kevin Feige Reveals How The MCU Avoids Superhero Fatigue

Since the Marvel Cinematic Universe kicked off in 2008, Marvel Studios has released 16 movies that share the same cinematic universe. On top of that, the studio has an additional eight movies in various stages of production in addition to a dozen or so television series also tied in.

Needless to say, the main concern of fans is the studio's ability to keep putting out quality, top-notch projects time and time again in hopes of avoiding the much-dreaded "superhero fatigue."

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige — the mastermind behind the multi-billion dollar MCU franchises — spoke up and shared his take on superhero fatigue.

"I mean really, all I worry about are the films that we make and the films that we can. control. And nobody would get fatigued more than all of us at Marvel Studios," Feige told Variety after Marvel Studios' annual Hall H panel at San Diego Comic Con. "We live this, we breathe this 24-hours a day, 7-days a week."

Feige went on the explain that they choose to do the movies that keeps them interested and wanting to come back to make time and time again.

"Almost every film we make and every decision we make is to keep ourselves interested and to keep things fresh and to keep things unexpected," explained Feige. "And so far, as you say, 19 films in, the audience seems to be responding to that."

After hearing Feige share his thoughts on the potential issue, it seems that fans can rest assured that Marvel Studios won't be easing off the gas pedal anytime soon.

Next up on the slate for Marvel Studios is Thor: Ragnarok, their third release of the year.
