The box office numbers are rolling in for Logan, Hugh Jackman's final Wolverine movie. Logan is the biggest box-office opening of the year so far and the best opening for Jackman's solo Wolverine movies. In addition, Logan now has the fifth-best opening for an R-rated movie ever.

That spot was previously held by Fifty Shades of Grey, which had edged out The Passion of the Christ. Fox's other R-rated Marvel movie, Deadpool, still sits comfortably as the biggest R-rated opening ever, followed by The Matrix Reloaded, American Sniper, and The Hangover Part II.

Logan had a budget of $97 million and was the widest domestic opening for an R-rated film ever. Logan has garnered near universe critical praise. ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis called Logan "the perfect finale." The film currently has an 88.54 ComicBook Composite score, the second-highest ComicBook Composite score of any comic book movie, and a 4.73 out of 5 user rating, making it the top rated of all comic book movies among ComicBook.com readers. Logan is now playing in theaters.
