Luke Cage And Jessica Jones Weigh In On Netflix Outage

Marvel's Luke Cage debuted on Netflix yesterday, but viewers eager to binge-watch the entire series were forced to take a breather when Netflix's streaming service crashed.

The social media team for both Luke Cage and Marvel's Jessica Jones, which do an impressive job of staying in character on Twitter, responded to the outage. The Jessica Jones account was quick to make clear that she had absolutely nothing to do with the Netflix outage.

The Luke Cage account tweeted several times, first offering an animated GIF of Cottonmouth in a violent rage to represent Netflix desperately trying to repair its servers.

Luke Cage then offered a link to its soundtrack as a means of holding audiences over until the issue was resolved.

Finally, Luke Cage tweeted out a swear jar for those voicing their frustrations with colorful language.

Even Luke Cage showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker got involved, asking if Luke Cage fans were responsible for breaking Netflix.

The issue has since been resolved, and audiences should not be able to finish watching Luke Cage in its entirety on Netflix.

Based on the Marvel Comics character, in Marvel's Luke Cage a hoodie-wearing, unbreakable ex-con fights to clear his name and save his neighborhood. He wasn't looking for a fight, but the people need a hero.
