Marvel HeroClix: 15th Anniversary What If? Unboxing

It's time to explore the what could have been in the Marvel universe. ComicCook.com is unboxing a Marvel HeroClix: 15th Anniversary What If? Booster Brick from WizKids Games. Take a look at the video above and see photos of the figures pulled in the gallery below.

The What If? Set is part of WizKids' year-long celebration of 15 years of HeroClix. The set includes classic versions of iconic Marvel characters including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, the Punisher, and Daredevil.

The set then delves into Marvel's catalog of What If? Stories to present unique versions of these characters from across various Marvel Universes. These include Tony Stark becoming the Sorcerer Supreme, the Punisher becoming Iron Man, and Captain America lifting Thor's hammer.

The alternate universe versions of these characters use a special game mechanic that allows them to be swapped in for normal versions of the character they were or the character they've become. For example, Dr. Stark can be substituted in for another Doctor Strange figure or an Iron Man figure.

Other subsets include "What if the Marvel Knights had joined SHIELD?" This subset features Daredevil, Agent of SHIELD, the Punisher of SHIELD, and Jessica Jones if she had joined the Avengers.

Additionally, the Runaways make their return to HeroClix, but these aren't just any Runaways. They're the Runaways if the team had become the Young Avengers. These include Victor Mancha as Iron Lad, Chase Stein, Nico Minoru, Molly Hayes, Karolina Dean, and leader Gertrude Yorkes with her trusty dinosaur Old Lace.

Marvel HeroClix: 15th Anniversary What If? goes on sale at comic book and game stores on June 7. The release will be commemorated with events where players can win a colossal Dormammu figure!
