Marvel Teasing Punisher To Become War Machine

Secret Empire has been full of surprises thus far, bu the most recent issue featured a doozy involving the Punisher. Now it seems that Marvel has even grander plans for the character in Marvel Legacy.

Marvel is taking the cover off of their anticipated event with a series of teaser GIFs that are inspired by classic covers of the past. One of those is the cover to Iron Man #282, which features War Machine in the center (via Previews World). The new cover gives him a Punisher styled update, complete with a white skull in the center. With Punisher on the side of Captain America's Hydra takeover, taking on the War Machine identity could be the next logical step. Whether that will be as a full-on hero or as an outlaw remains to be seen, but it isn't the craziest thing to ever happen.

Plus, everyone seems to have an Iron Man armor these days, so why not Punisher?
