Marvel's Doctor Strange Retail Merchandise Line Revealed

In preparation for the release of Doctor Strange in theaters, Marvel has announced a new retail merchandising push for the Sorcerer Supreme.

The line includes Doctor Strange offerings from companies like Hasbro, LEGO, Funko, Mad Engine, Marvel Comics, and more, and are aimed at collectors of all ages.

Doctor Strange merchandise highlights include:

"The origin film for Doctor Strange is going to be a mysterious, action-packed adventure and we are excited to debut a merchandising program that successfully captures the mystical nature of the franchise," said Paul Gitter, Senior Vice President, Licensing, Marvel at Disney Consumer Products in a statement. "Fans of the Sorcerer Supreme will have an array of options to choose from including apparel and accessories to toys and collectibles, perfect for showcasing their love of Marvel's Doctor Strange."

Other Doctor Strange merchandise include Doctor Strange costumes available at Rubies and Doctor Strange-inspired wearable items from C-Life, Freeze, Mighty Fine, and Hybrid and accessories from Bioworld, Sprayground, Berkshire, New Era, and Salesone.

Marvel's Doctor Strange collections are now available at major retailers including Walmart, Target, Toys "R" Us, Amazon, JCPenney, Kohl's, Hot Topic, and Disney Store.

In Doctor Strange, Dr. Stephen Strange's life changes after a car accident robs him of the use of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he looks for healing, and hope, in a mysterious enclave. He quickly learns that the enclave is at the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying reality. Before long, Strange is forced to choose between his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence.

Doctor Strange is directed by Scott Derrickson, from a screenplay co-written by Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill from a story by Derrickson, Cargill and Jon Spaihts. Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Benjamin Bratt, Scott Adkins, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton.

Doctor Strange opens in theaters on Nov. 4, 2016.
