Marvel's Inhumans TV Series Gets Iron Fist Showrunner

ABC Studios and Marvel Television have signed Marvel's Iron Fist showrunner Scott Buck to act as showrunner and as executive producer on the upcoming Marvel's The Inhumans television series.

Buck is currently working on Marvel's Iron Fist for Netflix, and previously served as showrunner on the final three seasons of Dexter for Showtime. His credits also include work on Six Feet Under, Roam, and Coach.

Marvel's The Inhumans will debut he first two episodes in IMAX theatres, marking the first time a live-action television series has debuted in IMAX. The will be filmed entirely with IMAX digital cameras and will run worldwide exclusively in IMAX for two weeks at the beginning Labor Day weekend 2017. The episodes will then serve as Marvel's The Inhumans' series premiere later than fall, with ABC television exclusive content.

As a concept, the Inhumans were introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe via Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, with Inhuman characters like Quake, Lash, and Slingshot.

Marvel's the Inhumans will focus on Marvel's most popular Inhuman character, the Inhumans Royal Family, which includes Black Bolt, Medusa, Maximus, Gorgon, Crystal, Karnak, Triton, and Lockjaw, each created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee during the dawn of the Marvel Age of comics.
