Netflix and Marvel Television have reportedly made their first casting decision for the upcoming Punisher TV series.

Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as The Punisher from Daredevil Season 2, and now we may know who his first major villain will be.

According to TV Line, Ben Barnes has joined the cast of The Punisher. There isn't much in the way of details about Barnes' character, but rumor has it he'll play organized crime prodigy Bobby Saint.

Saint was previously played by James Carpinello in 2004's The Punisher movie.

Barnes is a British actor who played Caspian X in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. He also played the lead role in a 2009's Dorian Gray and had supporting roles in The Words and The Big Wedding. He played Samuel Adams in the 2015 television series Sons of Liberty.

The Punisher was officially announced at Netflix just weeks after Bernthal debuted as Frank Castle in Daredevil Season 2. The Punisher is the first additional Netflix series added to Marvel's television lineup since the partnership was originally announced. The initial Marvel lineup includes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and the Defenders crossover series.

There's still no firm release window for The Punisher, though it has previously been implied that The Punisher and Jessica Jones Season 2 will both be held back until after The Defenders crossover.

Luke Cage is the next Marvel series to debut on Netflix, premiering Sept. 30.
