Hugh Jackman debuted a new poster for Logan, the third Wolverine solo film and his last run with the character, early Wednesday morning after teasing it Tuesday. The poster went out on his personal twitter account with the single word: "Sunset," followed by the title of the film and its release date, March 3, 2017.

Jackman has taken a primary role in the PR push for Logan in a way he hasn't before for any other of his nine turns as Wolverine, the feral mutant of the X-Men with a penchant for stabbing first, asking questions never. Director James Mangold has likewise shared images from the film, often cryptically and without anything more than a single word and the show's title, throughout the early media campaign process.

For his final take on the character of Wolverine, this Logan poster is certainly apropos. The take will feature an older Logan, struggling with the reality of getting older (and in his case losing his powers) and coming to the end of his long, long road. It's the "sunset" of his life, as his day is ending - but the sun can still burn brightly at the end of a long day, for one last moment; that's what the poster, with Logan in partial silhouette in the foreground, claws popped, screams out.

A new trailer for Logan, following the celebrated trailer featuring Johnny Cash's "Hurt" cover, should be debuting any day now, as it was classified earlier this month. The most recent tease is that it would be coming early in January 2017.

Logan takes place in the year 2024, where mutant births have become extremely rare. The defenders of mutant kind, the X-Men, are long gone, and the only remains of them are an old and struggling Charles Xavier and a weary Logan. Logan's vaunted healing factor has slowed, and at times doesn't seem to work at all. When a young mutant needs his help, Logan has to unsheathe his claws once more. His job isn't over yet.

Logan hits theaters on March 3, 2017. You can let us and your fellow readers know how excited you are to see it by clicking on the "fire" icons below and rating your anticipation.
