New Photo Of Marvel's Defenders Assembled

Quickly after the release of the first look at Marvel's Defenders together for the first time was released, another new photo gives us our first taste of what it will be like to see the characters in action.

In the new photo, Luke Cage, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Iron First (in that order from left to right) stand in place for a photoshoot. The moment will likely not be a part of the actual The Defenders series. It looks like Jessica Jones is up to no good though, as Krysten Ritter is holding a can of spray paint and likely looking to vandalize something!

The Defenders is set to arrive on Netflix in the summer of 2017, after 65 episodes of its core characters living separately in a shared in universe.

"Every one of them is following their own trail of bread crumbs, trying to unpack a mystery in New York," showrunner Marco Ramirez, said. "We wanted them all caught off guard. Once they're in that room together, it's kind of like, 'Oh, s—, who are you?'"

According to EW's time on set, each character will come together despite how little each of them is expecting it. Their first meeting will take place in the offices of Midland Circle. The four heroes find themselves trapped in the middle of a corridor and have to jointly battle their way through a group of enemies. Given Marvel's ability to convey gritty action sequences in stairwalls and hallways, a corridor cage match is more than welcome.

"The Defenders didn't have a 'D' on their belt buckles and a Defenders Tower," head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb said. "We agreed from the very beginning that these folks could at the very end go, 'I never want to see your face again.'" He chose The Defenders characters for Netflix as a way to oppose to the Avengers style of always choosing to come together to save the world. The stubborn bunch of Defenders believe they all work better alone -- except Iron Fist.

It's Iron Fist who is actually bringing the team together. He's seen in the new photo pulling his shirt back to reveal a his signature logo on his chest.
