It's not official until Deadpool chimes in. So, it's officially official.

Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon to welcome Josh Brolin to the Deadpool movie universe, where he will be playing the sought-after role of Cable.

After the news came out, Reynolds expressed his concerns with Brolin playing the part, captioning a photo, "The f---, Fox!"

"You can't play 2 characters in the same universe!!" Reynolds went on. "Josh Brolin was in Sicario and I was in Sabrina The Teenage Witch." Shared universe between Deadpool, Sicario, and Sabrina confirmed? Nope, just Reynolds having some fun before he dives into production on the highly-anticipated sequel!

Check out the tweet and photo, which features Brolin's face in Deadpool's latte, Domino's designed to look like Domino and Nathan Summers, and a napkin with each of the Golden Girls' names on it.

If you look closely at the photo, the napkin reads, "Mutant 101 was here," in its bottom right corner.

"Josh Brolin brings both the gravitas as well as the physicality required to bring Cable to life on the big screen!" Cable's creator Rob Liefeld told ComicBook.com. "He's an amazing actor and I'm as excited as anyone to see him paired with Ryan Reynolds, Zazie Beets in Deadpool 2! Cable, Domino and Deadpool people! It's happening!"

"Domino is all about, as an actress and as the character that is going to be on the screen you already allude to it, it's all about the sass," Liefeld said. "You gotta understand, you're gonna go up against Wade Wilson, who is, in this movie is Ryan Reynolds and trust...I'm telling you, having been around Ryan multiple times that mouth cannot be stopped. I don't think he can say the jokes as fast as they are backed up in his head. Some of these people be like 'Oh hey, this girl should have been Domino, and pick out actress a through z' and I'd be like 'I'm not sure that they can keep up with him,' and, 'Oh my gosh, I'm not sure that Ryan's gonna keep up with her.' I think Ryan Reynolds is gonna have to work hard to keep up with Zazie. I mean, wow. You just go 'That chemistry is going to be spectacular.' And that's what it comes down to is the chemistry with these characters."

Deadpool 2 is slated for release on March 2, 2018, and currently enjoys a 4.18 out of 5 on ComicBook.com's anticipation rankings.
