Silver & Black: Rumored Plot Details Surface About The Standalone

Sony has big plans for their Spider-Man universe, especially if these latest reports on Silver & Black are true.

Silver & Black is the Spider-Man spinoff that is set to star Black Cat and Silver Sable, two characters have been heavily featured alongside (or against) the web slinger in years past. According to That Hashtag Show (via CBR), the film's plot might have already surfaced, spotlighting cat and mouse game between the two stars.

Well, it is actually more complicated than that. Silver Sable, real name Silver Sablinova, is a bounty hunter who is chasing down the Black Cat, real name Felicia Hardy. Hardy has made a name for herself in the thieving world, but Sable wants to bring her in for a more personal reason as well.

According to the report, Hardy has ties to Mendel Stromm, who Sable hates thanks to his penchant for experimenting on her Symkarian countrymen. Hardy is known for utilizing an enhancement from Stromm in her thieving gigs, and Sable views her as a stepping stone to get to Stromm.

The wrinkle comes in when Stromm enlists the help of two other characters, Scorpion and Tarantula, to hunt Hardy down, as he wants her back in the fold. Both sides want Hardy for opposing reasons, and neither side is aware of the other.

Movies that have been thrown around in comparison by director Gina Prince-Bythewood are Thelma and Louise and Midnight Run, and so far this treatment sounds pretty in-line with that. Fans will have to wait and see if these rumors turn out to be true.

Sony's latest Spider-Man: Homecoming enjoys an 86.59 on ComicBook.com's composite ranking, and you can find the description below.

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is in theaters now.
