Spider-Man: Homecoming Blu-ray Release Date, Special Features Revealed

08/08/2017 12:14 am EDT

It was just a month ago that Spider-Man: Homecoming released in theaters, but we're already learning about some of the special features that will be included when the film arrives on Blu-ray.

The information comes courtesy of Australian retailer JB Hi Fi, promising a 4K version coupled with a Spider-Man mask and an exclusive comic book packaged with the film.

They list the film as releasing on October 18, but that could change and might not apply to other regions. You can pre-order it now on Amazon, which might be a good idea since it's around 40% off at the moment. You'll want to lock that price down during their pre-order guarantee period.

Check out a listing of the various special features below:

·Featurettes

·Deleted & Extended Scenes

·Gag Reel

·Sneak Peek at Marvel's Spider-Man on Playstation

·Spider-Man: Homecoming VR Trailer

There are a lot of intriguing details in this list, including "Triskelion Cleanup" and "Aaron Still Stuck."

While we're excited to see a mention of SHIELD's base and a connection to Captain America: Winter Soldier, the prospect of seeing Miles Morales uncle stuck to his car is comedic gold. Hopefully director Jon Watts let the camera roll on Donald Glover and let him improv, because that's sure to be entertaining.

Spider-Man: Homecoming looks like it will be another awesome Blu-ray edition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But will Sony and Marvel's deal allow it to be included in the inevitable MCU Phase 3 collection? We'll see…

Spider-Man: Homecoming is in theaters now.

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
